Hammond, Indiana - Plaintiff Forest River, Inc. of Elkhart, Indiana filed an intellectual property lawsuit in the Northern District of Indiana against Winnebago Industries, Inc. of Forest City, Iowa and its wholly owned subsidiary Winnebago of Indiana, LLC of Middlebury, Indiana (collectively, "Winnebago"). Defendants are accused of trademark infringement, trade dress infringement, false designation of origin or sponsorship, passing off and/or unfair competition. Plaintiff Forest River is a provider of recreational vehicles and related products, as are the Winnebago Defendants. Plaintiff contends that it has been selling travel trailers that are distinguished both by the trademark "RPOD" and the product line's trade dress.
